The Small Open Water Vessel is designed as a domestic artefact: an object that turns a practical function into a ritual gesture. Its proportions are guided by the same architectural logic as the larger piece—containment, balance, and a sense of grounded presence.
A quiet ridge line sits in the silhouette like a threshold, organising the form with restraint. Handbuilt by Pascale Zintzen (Oikos Estudio) from Matter Edit’s creative framework and finished with brushed experimental glazes using wild pigments, each vessel records the slow time of making. Variation is intrinsic: no two surfaces resolve in quite the same way.
